Luke got his name from Star Wars, and yes, saying “Luke, I am your father” made me smile. But being Luke’s “father” was more than a joke; it was a promise, a responsibility. If I was going to say it, I had to live up to it.

Like most pet parents, I read labels, asked questions, and worried about what was going into Luke’s bowl every single day. But no matter what I tried, dog food often felt mass-produced, overly processed, or hard to trust for daily feeding.

So I did what came naturally, I started cooking at home. I kept it simple, using ingredients I recognised. Over time, I saw Luke eat better, digest better, and feel healthier.

And slowly, a realisation set in, fresh, home-style food shouldn’t be a rare treat for dogs. It should be the everyday norm.

As this idea grew stronger, I began exploring it more seriously, speaking with a pet nutritionist and understanding what truly makes a balanced meal for dogs. Around this time, I shared the journey with Edwin, a fellow pet parent who has spent most of his life around dogs and understood this deeply.

His dog, Loki, was going through health issues at the time, and the importance of nutritious, thoughtfully prepared meals resonated with him in a very real way.

What started as a personal solution soon became a shared vision.

Not long after we began working on Pet Poshan, we lost Loki. And in that moment, what we were building became even more meaningful. Our resolve to bring Pet Poshan to as many pet parents as possible only grew stronger.
